Argo CD | v3.4.5

Argo CD v3.4.5 released on 09-07-2026

Argo CD v3.4.5 is out now. Provides immediate install instructions for both non-HA and HA deployments, signed images and provenance metadata meeting SLSA Level 3, plus a set of bug fixes and dependency updates.

See the GitHub compare, the operator documentation on signed release assets, and the detailed release-notes blog post for full information and verification steps.

What’s in this release

  • Quick Start and installation: kubectl apply of the non-HA manifest (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/argoproj/argo-cd/v3.4.5/manifests/install.yaml) and the HA manifest (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/argoproj/argo-cd/v3.4.5/manifests/ha/install.yaml), both targeted to the argocd namespace and using server-side apply with –force-conflicts.
  • Release signatures and provenance: all Argo CD container images are signed with cosign and provenance is generated for images and CLI binaries that meet SLSA Level 3; verification guidance is in the operator docs (https://argo-cd.readthedocs.io/en/stable/operator-manual/signed-release-assets).
  • Bug fixes and notable changelog items: several cherry-picked fixes (honouring referenced-source depth in reposerver; avoiding SSA-triggered auth reconciles; fixing auto-sync skips when newer commits arrive during manifest-generate-paths sync; correcting deleted-resources display in the UI; preventing clobbering of non-ignored fields on replace; restoring dex config env var substitution) and dependency bumps, including golang.org/x/crypto → 0.53.0 and an Ubuntu base image update to 26.04 LTS.

Upgrade notes

  • If upgrading from a different minor version, read the official upgrading documentation: https://argo-cd.readthedocs.io/en/stable/operator-manual/upgrading/overview/.
  • No special rollback instructions are included in the release notes; follow the operator documentation and your usual release procedures for rollbacks.

Share any notes on your installation, verification or upgrade experience — it helps others running Argo CD in production and homelabs.
