Argo CD | v3.5.1

Argo CD v3.5.1 released on 12-08-2026

Argo CD v3.5.1 is out now. It provides immediate install commands for quick Non‑HA and HA deployments, signed release artefacts with provenance, and a set of stability and controller fixes that improve diff correctness and secret handling.

See the project release page on GitHub for the full notes, or consult the operator documentation for signature and provenance verification instructions.

What’s in this release

  • Quick Start one-liners for Non‑HA and HA installs — create the argocd namespace and apply the correct manifest with server-side apply and –force-conflicts (manifests/install.yaml and manifests/ha/install.yaml).
  • Signed releases and provenance — all container images are cosign-signed and provenance artefacts are produced to meet SLSA Level 3 for container images and CLI binaries; verification instructions are in the operator docs.
  • Key bug fixes and controller behaviour improvements including: stopping AppSet progressive sync tight loops; verifying terminating Applications with the API server; treating timeout.reconciliation=0 as disabled soft expiry; reuse of server-side diff when masking Secret data; using the diff cache when reconciliation timeouts are disabled; preventing SSD CLI secret mask spoofing; and hiding secrets from last-applied-configuration annotations.
