Argo CD | v3.5.3

Argo CD v3.5.3 released on 14-09-2026

Argo CD v3.5.3 is out now. It provides minimal quick‑start install steps for single‑instance and HA Kubernetes deployments and confirms that container images and CLI binaries are signed with cosign and accompanied by provenance meeting SLSA Level 3.

See the Argo CD operator manual and the GitHub changelog for installation commands, signature verification guidance and the full list of fixes and improvements.

What’s in this release

  • Quick Start and installation: kubectl commands for Non‑HA and HA installs using server‑side apply with –force-conflicts and the versioned manifests (install.yaml and ha/install.yaml).
  • Signed releases and provenance: all container images are signed with cosign and provenance artifacts are produced for images and CLI binaries that meet SLSA Level 3; documentation explains how to verify signatures and provenance.
  • Bug fixes and changelog highlights: cherry‑picked fixes including health reporting updates (KubeVirt VirtualMachine, suspended FlinkDeployment), repository cleanup on revision change, Crossplane and GrafanaFolder resource handling, operationState retry corrections, UI fixes (SSO redirect loop guard and hydrateTo branch handling), GRPCRoute health check correction, and recovered AuthReconcile panic handling.

Upgrade notes

  • If you are upgrading across minor versions, read the Upgrading documentation: https://argo-cd.readthedocs.io/en/stable/operator-manual/upgrading/overview/.
  • The release notes do not include specific rollback instructions; follow your usual rollback procedure and consult the full changelog on GitHub if you need to trace changes (compare v3.5.2…v3.5.3).

Share your experience with the upgrade or any issues you encounter on the project’s channels so others can benefit from the notes you leave behind.
