authentik version/2026.5.0 released on 22-05-2026

authentik version/2026.5.0 is out now. Administrators and integrators receive a broad set of documentation and website updates, SAML and integration fixes, enterprise and Outpost improvements, plus a number of UI and backend bug fixes.

What’s in this release
- Documentation and website refresh: updated release notes (package-reduction and integrations), new and corrected screenshots, invitation and Binding wizard docs, Helm values.yaml snippets with global entries, CVE email-link fix, and assorted typo/style and wording clarifications.
- SAML and integrations improvements: properly import audience from metadata, handle XML declarations in the unified SAML endpoint, add SLS to the SAML overview and remove the SP binding field from the UI, plus new/updated integrations (including Absorb LMS) and guides aligned to the auto-generated issuer.
- Enterprise, SCIM and Outpost work: SCIM provider support for interactive OAuth2 flows, mTLS stage fixes and freezegun adjustments for expired cert checks, OutpostState stale-version fix, and a base image bump for FIPS Python in lifecycle containers.
Upgrade notes
- The SP binding field has been removed from the UI; review integration settings and consult the updated integration guides on the docs site to adjust to the auto-generated issuer behaviour.
- If you need to revert, use the project’s GitHub tags and the full changelog to identify the previous release to roll back to; monitor your integrations and Outposts after upgrading.
