Flux v2.9.2 released on 13-07-2026

Flux v2.9.2 is out now. It restores expected behaviour for Kustomizations using openapi.path that point to remote URLs and tidies several CRD field descriptions to reduce confusion.
See the full changelog on GitHub for details and follow the Upgrade Procedure for Flux v2.7+ when moving from v2.6: https://github.com/fluxcd/flux2/discussions/5572
What’s in this release
- Fix for a regression in kustomize-controller where Kustomizations with openapi.path pointing to a URL failed to reconcile with “failed to read OpenAPI schema”.
- CRD description corrections across controllers: HelmChart .status.url now references HelmChartStatus.Artifact; ImageRepository .status.observedExclusionList no longer points at spec.lastScanResult; ImageUpdateAutomation .status.observedSourceRevision had a stray Go struct declaration removed.
- Component and dependency updates (CLI and toolkit): source-controller v1.9.3, kustomize-controller v1.9.3, helm-controller v1.6.2, notification-controller v1.9.2, image-reflector-controller v1.2.3, image-automation-controller v1.2.3, source-watcher v2.2.2 and bumps to fluxcd/pkg.
