HomeAssistant Core 2026.4.2 released on 11-04-2026

HomeAssistant Core 2026.4.2 is out now. It improves device compatibility and fixes a wide range of per‑integration issues to reduce incorrect states and unavailable functionality across many integrations.

Check the Home Assistant Core release notes on GitHub for the full changelog and upgrade instructions.

What’s in this release

  • Per‑integration and device fixes: improved handling for disconnected Rainforest Automation Eagle‑200 meters, enabled SwitchBot Cloud webhooks for bots, included non‑default ports and fixed setup for BSB‑LAN, corrected LG Soundbar state for affected models, added missing Miele dishwasher program and fixed Miele temperature reading, and a range of other device compatibility fixes (Tractive, Comelit, Qbus, Fritz, Hisense Matter mapping, Roborock services).
  • Reliability and auth/coordinator fixes: use of a dedicated session for SeventeenTrack to preserve login cookies, improved ProxmoxVE permissions handling and prevention of migration‑triggered reauthentication, Victron BLE reauth and storage fixes, and improvements to coordinators such as Tibber and Anglian Water to reduce stale data and unexpected reauths.
  • Backups, Backblaze B2 and dependencies: bump and fix securetar (including size calculation when encrypting backups), handle BadRequest in Backblaze B2 config flow/setup and improve B2 upload error logging, plus a large set of dependency upgrades and a frontend update (frontend 20260325.7).

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes are listed in the release notes; review the full GitHub release notes before upgrading and follow your usual upgrade procedure.
  • If you rely on encrypted backups or Backblaze B2, confirm backup uploads after upgrading — the release includes fixes to securetar and B2 error handling that affect backup behaviour; restore from your most recent backup if you need to roll back.

Share your experience with the update or report any issues on the Home Assistant GitHub so maintainers and the community can follow up.
