HomeAssistant Core | 2026.9.3

HomeAssistant Core 2026.9.3 released on 18-09-2026

HomeAssistant Core 2026.9.3 is out now. It delivers a collection of integration, device discovery and backup fixes that improve reliability and reduce crashes and misconfiguration for users and integrators.

See the full release notes on the project’s GitHub or the Home Assistant documentation for details and upgrade guidance.

What’s in this release

  • Fix EnergyZero market price regression to restore correct pricing handling.
  • Tighten device onboarding and discovery: Private BLE Device flows now require the IRK and Bond keeps a known host while zeroconf still advertises it.
  • Security and backup hardening: supervisor.tar is encrypted/decrypted during backup rewrites and sensitive keys (AirVisual API key) are redacted from debug logs.

Upgrade notes

  • Private BLE Device config flow now requires the IRK — supply the IRK when completing onboarding to avoid failed device creation.
  • No widespread breaking changes reported; if you encounter problems, restore from your backups or consult the Home Assistant GitHub release notes for rollback guidance.

If you upgrade, share whether the fixes resolved your issues or introduced anything unexpected — feedback helps others and the maintainers.
