Immich | v3.0.2

Immich v3.0.2 released on 09-07-2026

Immich v3.0.2 is out now. It strengthens backend and media-pipeline reliability with HLS variant configuration and streamed ffprobe packets to improve live transcoding and streaming, including fixes for viewing live transcodes from shared links.

For full details and the complete changelog, see the project GitHub release notes and the repository documentation.

What’s in this release

  • Server and streaming: HLS variant configuration and streamed ffprobe packets to improve live transcoding and shared-link playback.
  • Media integrity and handling: audio downmixed to stereo to correct channel layouts; integrity checks improved (checksum pagination, DTO validation, missing-files checks); DB migrations now wrapped in transactions and a user-agnostic database restore option added.
  • Web and mobile fixes: ARIA label for ServerStatisticsCard, missing i18n strings and language initialisation fixes, Chinese browser locale recognition; mobile fixes include correct 10-bit HEIC/AVIF colours on Android, Live Photos local playback, restored crop/rotation options and more robust HTTP handling.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes are listed in the release notes; however, migrations are now wrapped in transactions — back up your database and test upgrades in a staging environment before applying to production.
  • If you need to recover, the release includes a user-agnostic database restore option; consult the documentation and full changelog for usage and instructions.

Share any feedback or issues you encounter after upgrading — the maintainers and community will appreciate reproduction steps and logs to help diagnose problems.
