Immich | v3.0.3

Immich v3.0.3 released on 15-07-2026

Immich v3.0.3 is out now. It’s a small patch release with bug fixes and UI/workflow improvements, addressing Live Photos uploaded from the background and a range of mobile and server issues.

See the project’s GitHub release for the full changelog and the distribution change details.

What’s in this release

  • App releases are now published to Immich’s own F-Droid repository at https://app.futo.org/fdroid/repo; F‑Droid users should switch to that repository going forward.
  • Fix for Live Photos uploaded from the background which previously did not appear; note some newly uploaded Live Photos may have broken thumbnails.
  • Various web, server and mobile fixes and tweaks: Android memories widget now sends full datetime, Ken Burns effect jitter resolved, zoom state cleared when swapping assets, server sets hvc1 tag when using HWA for compatibility, plus documentation and translation updates.

Upgrade notes

  • F‑Droid users: update your client to pull Immich from https://app.futo.org/fdroid/repo; the change is implemented in the release automation and documented in the repository.
  • If you see broken thumbnails on newly uploaded Live Photos, run the “missing” thumbnail job manually or wait for the nightly thumbnail regeneration job to clear them up.

Share any feedback or issues you encounter after upgrading so contributors and maintainers can investigate with reproduction details.
