Immich v3.0.3 released on 15-07-2026
Immich v3.0.3 is out now. It centralises F‑Droid distribution to the team’s FUTO repository and fixes Live Photos background uploads, benefiting mobile users and anyone installing via F‑Droid.

What’s in this release
- Published app releases to the team’s FUTO F‑Droid repository (https://app.futo.org/fdroid/repo) and updated documentation links accordingly.
- Fixed Live Photos uploaded from the background so they appear correctly; a small number of newly uploaded Live Photos may have broken thumbnails (see upgrade notes).
- Targeted bug fixes across web, mobile and server: plugin method picker no longer selects “unknown” on close; unauthorized album owner updates are blocked; system appbar icon colour fixed in the asset viewer; locked visibility handled correctly in search/random endpoint; Android memories widget now sends full datetimes and memory date validation fixed; zoom state cleared when swapping assets; Ken Burns jitter on Android fixed; server sets the hvc1 tag when using HWA for improved video compatibility.

- If you use F‑Droid, switch your install source to the FUTO repository at https://app.futo.org/fdroid/repo to receive future updates.
- If you encounter broken thumbnails on newly uploaded Live Photos, run the “missing” thumbnail job or wait for the nightly job to recover them.
