Immich | v3.2.0

Immich v3.2.0 released on 10-09-2026

Immich v3.2.0 is out now. The release brings a major search overhaul, cross-user face-clustering for shared groups, and several workflow, memories and deployment improvements that benefit admins and regular users alike.

See the full changelog and compare v3.1.0…v3.2.0 on GitHub, and consult the Search API docs and PR for examples of the new API v2: full changelog, API docs, search API PR.

What’s in this release

  • Search API v2 with album search, combined filters (AND/OR) and richer programmatic queries, plus a revamped web search modal and UI polish.
  • Cluster groups for sharing face-clustering pools across trusted users so recognised people appear in shared assets while names and birthdates remain per-user.
  • Workflow tag trigger/filter/action, tag renaming on the web, a dedicated Memories page, and a Docker Compose Builder for custom deployments.

Upgrade notes

  • Enabling cluster groups requires resetting facial recognition for group members so the change applies retroactively; this reset will remove stored names and birthdates for affected users—use the reset button in sharing settings.
  • To review changes before upgrading or to plan a rollback, compare v3.1.0…v3.2.0 on the project GitHub (link above) and follow the repository guidance for migrations and downgrades.

Share your experience or report issues via the project’s GitHub discussions or issues — maintainers pay attention to feedback and it helps prioritise follow-up fixes.
