Immich | v3.2.0

Immich v3.2.0 released on 10-09-2026

Immich v3.2.0 is out now. Self-hosters and administrators get a guided Docker Compose Builder to assemble a custom compose file, a rebuilt search stack (Search API v2 and a redesigned web search UI), cross-user face-clustering for shared assets, workflow and memories enhancements, and a range of deployment and tooling fixes.

See the Docker Compose Builder page (https://immich.app/docker-compose-builder) and the full changelog on GitHub for upgrade instructions and detailed notes: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/compare/v3.1.0…v3.2.0

What’s in this release

  • Docker Compose Builder — a guided UI to assemble a custom Immich compose file and simplify self-hosting setup.
  • Search API v2 and revamped web search UI — server-side API now supports searching within albums and combining filters with AND/OR; the web modal has been simplified and given quality-of-life improvements.
  • Sharing and face clustering — cluster groups let trusted users share face-clustering so you can see people you’ve already identified in assets shared by group members.

Upgrade notes

  • Cluster groups currently require resetting facial recognition for all users in the group to apply changes retroactively; resetting will remove per-user names and birth dates. Manage this from the user sharing settings: https://my.immich.app/user-settings?isOpen=sharing
  • Deployment documentation and scripts have been updated (matplotlib/rootless fixes and Hugging Face cache handling). If you self-host, review the revised docs and the Docker Compose Builder before upgrading; follow the updated backup script when preparing a rollback.

Try the Docker Compose Builder and report your experience via the project’s GitHub discussions or the release thread — feedback is welcome to shape the next updates.
