InfluxDB v3.11.4 released on 08-09-2026

InfluxDB v3.11.4 is out now. Operators and Enterprise users receive a set of core stability and correctness fixes — deterministic handling of repeated writes, guaranteed snapshot manifests to avoid sequence holes, plugin and trigger cache correctness, and security updates to the embedded Python runtime.
Users should consult the official release notes for full details and upgrade guidance: InfluxDB 3 release notes.
What’s in this release
- Repeated writes within the same buffer now deterministically resolve to the last acknowledged write in queries and persisted Parquet files, avoiding arbitrary overwrites.
- Snapshot sequences always emit a manifest — including empty snapshots — preventing sequence gaps that could stall consumers or Enterprise compaction.
- The processing engine’s embedded Python is updated to 3.13.15 for security fixes, alongside other bug fixes and performance improvements.
Upgrade notes
- Role-management and role-assignment operations now require admin authorization; deployments that have enabled the user-auth preview (not the default
--user-auth-type none) should review automation and ensure actions run with admin privileges. - If you need to revert or if cached state appears stale, a node restart clears in-memory planner skip lists and ensures triggers reload plugin sources; verify triggers and compaction progress after restart.
