Loki | v3.7.7

Loki v3.7.7 released on 27-08-2026

Loki v3.7.7 is out now. Operators running line-filtered deletions will avoid failures when some chunks referenced by a query are missing.

See the Loki GitHub release notes for full details and installation guidance on the security fixes and storage changes in this release.

What’s in this release

  • New CLI/config flag to ignore missing chunks during deletions that use a line filter — prevents deletion operations from failing when referenced chunks are absent.
  • Security dependency updates: github.com/containerd/containerd/v2 → v2.2.5; go.etcd.io/etcd/client/pkg/v3 → v3.6.14; golang.org/x/mod → v0.40.0.
  • Storage improvement: pre-compute SHA-256 checksums to avoid AWS chunked transfer on PutObject requests to S3-compatible backends.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking or deprecation notices are listed for this release; test v3.7.7 in a staging environment and then upgrade to pick up the security fixes.
  • Rollback: if you need to revert, return to v3.7.6.

Please share any comments on your experience with the upgrade.
