Loki | v3.7.7

Loki v3.7.7 released on 27-08-2026

Loki v3.7.7 is out now. It introduces a flag to ignore missing chunks during deletions that use a line filter, plus dependency security updates and a storage change that improves S3 upload compatibility — helpful for operators who want safer, idempotent deletions and fewer transfer errors with S3-compatible endpoints.

Operators should consult the Loki GitHub release page for the full notes and upgrade instructions.

What’s in this release

  • New flag to ignore missing chunks when deleting logs with a line filter, preventing failures or noisy errors if referenced chunks are absent (for example after compaction or retention).
  • Security dependency updates: github.com/containerd/containerd/v2 -> v2.2.5; go.etcd.io/etcd/client/pkg/v3 -> v3.6.14; golang.org/x/mod -> v0.40.0.
  • Storage change: pre-compute SHA-256 for objects before S3-compatible PutObject to avoid AWS-chunked transfer encoding and improve compatibility with S3 endpoints.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes are documented in the 3.7.7 release notes; upgrade to pick up the security fixes and the deletion/storage improvements. Check the GitHub release for full details before upgrading.
  • If you need to revert, follow your standard rollback procedure (the previous patch is v3.7.6).

Share any feedback or issues you encounter on the Loki GitHub — reports on behaviour during deletion or S3 uploads will help others and the maintainers.
