Nextcloud | v34.0.3

Nextcloud v34.0.3 released on 13-08-2026

Nextcloud v34.0.3 is out now. It is a maintenance patch for the v34 series containing targeted security hardenings, bug fixes and small performance tweaks, intended as a low-risk upgrade with no breaking API or database schema changes.

Administrators of internet-facing Nextcloud servers should upgrade promptly; critical installs should be tested on a staging clone first. See the full changelog and release assets on the Nextcloud GitHub releases page.

What’s in this release

  • Security hardenings and fixes addressing input validation, access-control and authentication edge cases, plus backported mitigations for exposed instances.
  • Bug fixes for file handling, sharing flows and syncing/client-interoperability edge cases, improving upload reliability and reducing duplicate share entries.
  • Small performance and memory-usage tweaks in background jobs and cron-driven tasks.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking API or database schema changes in this release; still take a full backup, put the instance into maintenance mode and test the upgrade on a staging clone before upgrading production.
  • If you need to roll back, restore files and the database from backups. After upgrading run the integrity check, perform the occ upgrade steps and ensure cron is running.
