OTel Collector v0.160.0 released on 02-09-2026
OTel Collector v0.160.0 is out now. It bundles refreshed core and contrib components and updates the Docker base-image digest for more reproducible builds.

What’s in this release
- Dockerfiles updated to use a new digest for golang:1.27-alpine3.23 (digest d9e2f2f) so rebuilt images reference the exact base image content.
- The set of included OpenTelemetry Collector components has been refreshed with dependency and component updates.
- CI stability improvement: Windows docker-tests no longer fail solely because the collector wrote to stderr, reducing false negatives.
