paperless-ngx | v3.0.2

paperless-ngx v3.0.2 released on 24-07-2026

paperless-ngx v3.0.2 is out now. It fixes a broken migration introduced in v3.0.1, restoring expected database upgrade behaviour.

See the project release on GitHub for the changelog and links to PR #13242: https://api.github.com/repos/paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx/releases/latest

What’s in this release

  • Fix: restore broken migration introduced in 3.0.1 (PR #13242) by @shamoon
  • Migration behaviour returned to the state required for database upgrades to complete correctly
  • No new features or additional breaking changes beyond the migration fix

Upgrade notes

  • If you experienced migration failures after upgrading to v3.0.1, upgrade to v3.0.2 and re-run your usual migration step (for example: docker restart or manage.py migrate, depending on your installation).
  • Back up your database before upgrading; if you need to revert, restore from that backup.

Share your experience with the update or report any remaining issues on the project’s GitHub so maintainers can follow up.
