paperless-ngx | v3.0.3

paperless-ngx v3.0.3 released on 25-07-2026

paperless-ngx v3.0.3 is out now. It fixes a number of reliability and data-preservation issues so document ingestion and background tasks are less likely to lose data or produce incorrect timestamps.

See the project’s GitHub release page for full details and upgrade instructions.

What’s in this release

  • Preserve document fields when converting to PDF via Gotenberg to avoid losing metadata during conversion.
  • Make email dates timezone-aware as early as possible during parsing to prevent incorrect timestamps.
  • Deployment and admin fixes: an adjustment to PAPERLESS_ALLAUTH_TRUSTED_PROXY_COUNT and documentation warnings for bare-metal upgrades to help avoid misconfiguration and stale files.

Upgrade notes

  • Bare-metal users should follow the release documentation carefully — there are warnings about stale files that can be left behind during upgrades; consult the upgrade notes before proceeding.
  • Check the migration guide for the documented NumPy CPU baseline increase and confirm compatibility with your environment; the release also emits the torch index into requirements.txt for users who still rely on it.

Share any experience, issues or observations on the project’s GitHub issue tracker or community channels so maintainers and other users can benefit.
