paperless-ngx v3.2.0 released on 19-09-2026

paperless-ngx v3.2.0 is out now. It sharpens full‑text search (including in-place fuzzy matching and CJK bigram support), tightens AI/workflow behaviour to avoid noisy suggestions, and adds a batch of UI and performance fixes that make everyday use more predictable.
See the project’s GitHub release notes for the full changelog and upgrade details.
What’s in this release
- Search improvements: in-place fuzzy-term matching, CJK bigram matching and a whoosh‑compatible advanced-search parser; a Tantivy full‑text fallback adapter for taxonomy candidates.
- Safer AI and workflows: the “Apply AI suggestions” workflow skips empty-content documents, runs asynchronously in the workflow editor, LLM error reporting improved and auto-suggestions for inbox documents can be disabled.
- UI and quality-of-life tweaks: deselect individual items after “select all”, hide-able sidebar items, centralized share link/bundle handling, a duplicates filter and multiple frontend fixes.
Upgrade notes
- Front-end dependency updates include ng-select v24 (breaking changes handled in the release). Test UI components after upgrading and consult the release notes for any integration adjustments.
- If you encounter problems, restore your previous deployment and report issues on the project’s GitHub so maintainers can prioritise fixes.
