paperless-ngx | v3.2.1

paperless-ngx v3.2.1 released on 20-09-2026

paperless-ngx v3.2.1 is out now. It fixes several operational issues — notably avoiding passing the –conf flag to Flower unless a flowerconfig.py file exists, so Flower no longer fails to start or picks up incorrect settings when you run it without a custom config.

Visit the project’s GitHub release page for the full changelog and upgrade instructions.

What’s in this release

  • Only pass –conf to Flower when a flowerconfig.py file exists to prevent startup errors and misconfiguration (PR #14182).
  • Replace the stale mail-fetch overlap check with a self-expiring lock to avoid concurrent mail-fetch jobs conflicting and to prevent permanent deadlocks from leftover state (PR #14189).
  • Bump ocrmypdf to 17.12 to pick up a ligature text‑layer fix, improving OCR text accuracy and searchability in affected PDFs (PR #14190).

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes are reported; if you use a custom Flower configuration, ensure flowerconfig.py is present so the –conf flag continues to be applied.
  • There are no special rollback procedures documented for this release; if you need to revert, restore your previous deployment or image tag and open an issue on the project’s GitHub repository.

Share any comments or observations on your upgrade experience on the project’s GitHub — reports and reproduction notes help catch any edge cases.
