Telegraf | v1.39.2

Telegraf v1.39.2 released on 20-07-2026

Telegraf v1.39.2 is out now. It fixes several collector and plugin bugs that stop panics, prevent blocked collections and improve OpenTelemetry, Vault secretstore and JSON parsing behaviour.

See the release on GitHub for full notes, platform packages and SHA256 checksums; download and verify the builds for your platform before upgrading.

What’s in this release

  • Fix panic in disk-buffer when running with –once by addressing cache-length handling.
  • Skip the Postgres liveness ping for PgBouncer connections to avoid incorrect failures.
  • Apply a read timeout in the chrony input so lost responses do not block collection.

Upgrade notes

  • This release includes many dependency bumps (notable: google.golang.org/grpc → 1.82.0, go.opentelemetry.io/collector/pdata → 1.62.0, multiple cloud.google.com/go modules and Prometheus components). Validate custom plugins, parser configs and integrations in a staging environment before rolling out to production.
  • Binary packages and archives are provided for many platforms; verify SHA256 checksums after download and keep a tested rollback path if the upgrade affects build or transitive behaviour.

Share your experience or report issues on the project’s GitHub so others know whether the fixes resolve the problems they hit.
