Tempo | v2.10.5

Tempo v2.10.5 released on 23-04-2026

Tempo v2.10.5 is out now. Builders and CI operators should use Go v1.16.2 to produce consistent, reproducible binaries and pick up patch-level fixes.

See the Tempo GitHub release page and PR #7040 for full details and any CI or container image notes.

What’s in this release

  • Go toolchain dependency updated to Go v1.16.2 (PR #7040 by @ie-pham).
  • Change targets build and dependency configuration rather than runtime behaviour; no expected runtime changes.
  • Builders and CI should build with Go 1.16.2 — cross-compilation, module resolution and cgo will follow Go 1.16.2 semantics.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes are expected; update local toolchains, CI images and build agents to Go 1.16.2. Check PR #7040 and the project changelog for CI/container image updates.
  • To revert the dependency change, revert PR #7040. If you cannot update toolchains immediately, continue using the previous release until your build environment is ready.

Tell the project how the rebuild goes — share any issues or observations on the Tempo GitHub issues or in PR comments.
