What’s in this release

  • Security hardenings and fixes delivered by the COSE team to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Intentional breaking changes and hardened defaults that close attack surface; consult the release notes for the precise list of affected components and behaviours.
  • Documented mechanisms to restore previous behaviour and rollback options, including compatibility toggles and configuration adjustments.

Upgrade notes

  • Several breaking changes are included; read the release notes and changelog, identify affected configurations and integrations, test the upgrade in staging, migrate or update configuration where required, run smoke tests and prepare a rollback plan before upgrading production.
  • If you need to revert, use the documented compatibility toggles or opt-outs if available, apply the configuration shims indicated in the notes, or pin and redeploy the prior Vector version; open an issue or reach out to COSE/community channels for help reproducing or mitigating changes.

Please share comments on your upgrade experience — report issues through the project’s issue tracker or community channels and note any problems encountered during staging or production upgrades.
