NocoDB 0 301 5: Workspace roles with inherited access, major bug fixes and stability, UX improvements and new features, performance and security updates

NocoDB 0.301.5 released on 18-03-2026

NocoDB 0.301.5 is out now. Administrators and self-hosted users gain workspace-level roles with permission inheritance that remove the need to invite users to each base individually.

See the GitHub release page or the NocoDB documentation for the full changelog and upgrade instructions.

What’s in this release

  • Workspace-level roles and permission inheritance: the old Organization model is replaced by a Default Workspace and users invited at workspace level inherit their role across bases, views and other resources; advanced workspace access control is now available for self-hosted installs.
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements, including a fix for an infinite reactive loop that froze the browser in grid view, Meta Sync viewing errors, incorrect editability when a view was locked, severe slowdowns for grids with Links/Lookup columns on self-hosted setups, Editor role visibility problems, multiple metadata PATCH issues, and Data API v3 not returning primary key fields.
  • New features and UX enhancements such as a refactored keyboard shortcuts dialog with menu access, map view experiments, autonumber field, drag-files-to-create-records, timeline2, cross-section view drag-and-drop, dashboard v3 API, Excel import improvements, and responsive UI and sidebar refinements.

Upgrade notes

  • No breaking changes to existing base-level permissions — they remain respected. Review workspace invitations and roles and consult the collaboration docs: https://nocodb.com/docs/product-docs/collaboration
  • If you need to roll back, consult the full changelog (compare 0.301.3…0.301.5) and reinstall the prior release as appropriate.
