OTel Collector v0.148.0 released on 20-03-2026
OTel Collector v0.148.0 is out now. It adds new contrib receivers and an extension plus a few build and distribution updates that matter to integrators, operators and anyone using the contrib or otelcol-k8s distributions.

What’s in this release
- New contrib components: ciscoosreceiver (Cisco OS telemetry), pprofreceiver (pprof-based profiling receiver), awslambda receiver (AWS Lambda telemetry), and the azure_encoding extension.
- Builder Docker image upgraded to Go 1.25 so custom collector build environments will use Go 1.25 going forward.
- otelcol-k8s distribution now includes the metricsgenerationprocessor for generating synthetic or derived metrics in Kubernetes-tailored deployments.
