Talos Linux v1.14.1 released on 15-09-2026
Talos Linux v1.14.1 is out now. Cluster operators and bare-metal administrators get an updated kernel, container runtime and toolchain alongside a range of robustness and edge-case fixes.

What’s in this release
- Platform updates: Linux kernel 6.18.51, containerd 2.3.5 and the toolchain bumped to Go 1.26.8 (plus util-linux updates).
- Robustness and fixes: sandboxd signal-handling isolation, WireGuard gRPC tunnel reconnection, safer kubelet client-certificate handling, tighter v1alpha1 config validation and migration behaviour, improved disk/LVM handling including decrypted-device PV creation, and various kernel/module configuration changes (USB LAN78XX, MICROCHIP_PHY, XFRM_INTERFACE, Intel HD audio, EFI SecureBoot lockdown patch).
